No Drip Painting 2018: A Year of Thanks

As we are approaching the dawn of our final month in 2018 it is only appropriate that we take a moment to reflect on what a tremendous year it has been.  No Drip Painting is ending the year a better version of it’s self and we give all of the credit to our clients, trade partners and incredibly loyal group of painters.  A countdown is always fun, right? We think so, and are filled with gratitude as we take you through a small handful of the moments, people and projects that made 2018 one of our best yet.

A New Look for a New Year

A proper logo has been on the necessity list for a few years now, but was just one of those items that was easy to scoot to the side. Finally the time came about two months ago where we took the step and began actively seeking a unique logo that represents our professional, yet approachable and comfortable style of business.

No Drip Painting Logo

Like many, there was an idea-or at least a set of words-that described what we wanted our logo to convey, but there was not yet a visual representation.  We turned to an online logo contest and spent a week sifting through incredibly talented interpretations of our vision and narrowed down to three finalists.  For the final step, we turned to our Facebook followers and let them make the decision for us in an online vote.  We are eager to re-brand ourselves with our new logo throughout the coming months!

Why Paint when you can Limewash?

A big thank you goes out to our fabulous client in Worthington who allowed us to earn her business and do a full exterior limewash application-our largest to date with limewash. This was also quite possibly one of the most fun projects due to the client’s exuberant (and quite stylish) personality, as well as her collaborative approach to doing business.

For those who are unfamiliar, limewash is a centuries-old form of coating that allows for a fully customizable look for brick (and other porous) surfaces. Not only is this a one of a kind look, it is a durable (and breathable) coating for your home.  Take a look at these before and in-progress photos!

A Big Thank You to NARI

NDP has always had bigger plans in mind, to expand our expertise and impact on our community.  Joining NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry) has helped move us in this direction.  We appreciate the dedication of our local chapter’s leadership and training opportunities, as well as the support of it’s members.  NARI not only gives us a monthly meeting that we look forward to attending, it has given us great insight into the construction/remodeling industry, professional collaboration with fellow members and a whole new excitement for finding further ways to engage with the association.

It All Starts with Our Crew

This may be the topic where we have the most to say, yet it is so hard to decide where to begin. NDP operated during 2018 with an amazing group of dedicated men and women that showed up each day to produce results that made the visions of our clients come to life. We expect nothing but the upmost care, kindness and quality when our painters step foot on a project and our crew has consistently delivered on these objectives.  Of course we have our areas to improve upon and further train our painters; however, it is so comforting to never have to think twice about the respect your team will demonstrate when at work. We can’t say it enough, but thank you, thank you, thank you to all those who dedicated themselves to our team this year.  You are an absolute blessing!

The One and Only-Sherwin Williams

Good paint is where it all begins-and for that we continuously turn to Sherwin Williams.  We have come to love the partnership that our local reps strive to make with our company and the education, suggestions, and support they provide along the way.  As part of our expansion in 2018 we began instructing painting training courses and we have been lucky enough to have multiple Sherwin Williams representatives come and present in their areas of commercial and industrial paint expertise.  Sherwin Williams allows us to produce the quality of work that we do and, for that, we are so grateful.

The list of appreciation and gratitude extends well beyond the five key points listed above, but there is just not enough time in one post to hit on everything.  Please know that if we have had the pleasure of working for you, with you, or even just becoming ‘friends’ on Facebook, we appreciate you!  We look forward to continuing our growth ahead and deepening our relationship with all of you.

May you have a wonderful, warm, and relaxing Winter season.

Happy Painting!
